Christmas Wish List for Designers

It’ll soon be December and everyone will be making their annual trip up the loft to get the Christmas decorations down, to make their homes festive. The neighbours will be up ladders erecting their festive display and it will brighten the street once again. It will be time to bake mince pies and to douse your Christmas cake with more brandy before icing. Shops will be getting busier as everyone realises how little shopping days there are left. Perpetual Calendar (£59.50)

I love it when I find a product that is pure minimalist plus functional and this is one of them. Designed for the Museum of Modern Art, NY by the Award winning designer Gideon Dagan. The Perpetual Calendar is innovative and an eco-conscious product as it can be used year after year, available in two sizes and will look ultra cool at work or at home either mounted on a wall, desktop or side board. It’s string-tethered Maglev (magnetic levitation) ball is suspended in mid-air and is manually moved to mark each month. A second ball on the horizontal beam indicates the day. Sphero Star Wars BB-8 (£116.99 – £129.95)

If you know a die-hard Star Wars fan this is sure to make them smile with glee.
